COMPANIES

Companies with engineering staffs and research departments often need to inform their employees of the proper procedures needed to record new developments in order to protect those developments from competitors. For this reason, LaMorte & Associates has developed a lecture entitled: " WHAT EVERY ENGINEER NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ". This seminar was designed for the management and engineering staffs of manufacturing companies that do not have in-house patent counsel. The purpose of the seminar is to teach your company's management and engineers about some of the finer points of intellectual property. The seminar will help prevent managers and engineers from making common mistakes during the research and development of new products that can result in lost patent rights and/or liabilities to competitors.

Intellectual property infringement lawsuits cost manufacturing companies billions of dollars every year. The average cost for a company to defend itself in a patent infringement suit now exceeds $700,000.00, even if the suit is won. This seminar is focused on teaching companies how to avoid the many pitfalls that exist in the world of patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets that may give rise to financial liabilities.

The seminar is a four hour course held at your company's facility. This lecture is scheduled upon request.
